CIFC Asset Management (CIFC), which manages $47bn in assets internationally, has appointed Nick White as managing director, European marketing and investor relations.
White has experience across European asset management, distribution, marketing and investor relationships. In 2024, White founded Seafield Capital Partners, a specialist asset management business, prior to which he headed UK and European distribution at Nedgroup Investments.

The appointment is intended to strengthen the CIFC’s capabilities as it expands its European business. Steve Vaccaro, CIFC’s chief executive officer and chief investment officer, said: “Europe is already an important part of CIFC, and the strong business we have built in the region, with approximately $5.7bn of assets today, gives us a meaningful foundation from which to continue growing.”
He added: “Nick brings extensive experience across European asset management, investor relationships and business development. His appointment reflects both the opportunity we see in Europe and our commitment to investing behind that growth.”
Commenting on his appointment, White signalled an intention to build on CIFC’s “existing strategies” by working “closely” with clients to expand investor access to “specialist credit markets”.
“What makes the opportunity particularly compelling is the strength of the platform already in place,” he said. “Alongside continuing to support our existing strategies, we will be focused on listening closely to clients, strengthening long-term relationships and identifying where CIFC’s capabilities across structured credit, corporate credit and private credit can address evolving portfolio needs.”
