M&G Investments has appointed Gad Amar as its new head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) client group, as part of its efforts to bolster its growth ambitions in Europe.
In the newly created role, he will aim to improve collaboration between distribution and investment teams, and lead on the firm’s distribution strategies. Based in Paris, he will report to Neil Godfrey, global head of the client group.
Commenting on the appointment, Amar said: “I have long admired M&G’s investment heritage, its growing international presence and the ambition it has for the future.
“I am delighted to be joining the business and look forward to working with colleagues across EMEA to build on the strong relationships M&G has established with clients across the region.”
Amar brings nearly 25 years of experience in asset management distribution and business development, having served as head of Western Europe at Natixis Investment Management for the past five years. Prior to that, he spent three years at Edmond de Rothschild, seven years at BlackRock, and close to seven years at JPMorgan.
Godfrey added: “Gad brings extensive market experience and operational leadership.
“His appointment will further strengthen our client group leadership, improve coordination across key European markets and create broader opportunities to support clients within and beyond Europe.”
